    Columbia Winery Charity Walk & Run – benefiting uncompensated care at Seattle Children’s Hospital HAM volunteers are needed to support safety and communications for this event, scheduled for Saturday August 18, 2018.
    This is an annual charitable event to fund uncompensated treatment at Children’s’ Hospital. Children’s’ hospital provides specialized care for children with unique and difficult medical needs. Their physicians and staff are generally regarded as the best in the Northwest for their areas of specialty..

    This event involves tracking and supporting runners and walkers in 5 and 10k events. The event is of short duration and you can expect to be done and on the way home before noon.

    In addition to fixed posts we especially need people who can operate by bicycle with APRS. We will have one or two loaner radios for this purpose.

    Where: Directions – The race will start & finish at the Columbia Winery:14030 NE 145th Street, Woodinville, WA 98072 Volunteers are asked to report before 7:30 at the Net Control Shelter near the Starting Line

    Plain 100 – Endurance Run September 15 and 16
    Headquarters for the event is in Plain Washington

    Plain 100 – Endurance Run September 15 and 16 in the mountains between Lake Wenatchee and the Entiat River.
    The run organizers are looking for ham radio volunteers to staff communications and safety posts at the command post as well at remote check points in the mountains. Radio operators staffing remote posts need to be experienced in off-the-grid wilderness operations, must be s self sufficient and have good transportation.     Headquarters for the event is in Plain Washington – there are rooms available for overnight accommodations, please arrange with event management. Set up and organization of event begins on Friday September 14 you will need to be on-site by 11 AM for lunch and work party.
